Disclosure Policy

All product recommendations, no matter where they originate from, should always be assessed with a good dose of skepticism – especially when reviewers have a vested interest when a product is sold and a commission is given out to them.

In our case, this relation does not affect the integrity of our reviews. There is a code of ethics in place which is always followed to ensure the integrity of our site. It is integrity that maintains our presence – without it, our reviewing process would become invalid.

Our reviewing structure consists of

ñ  A manageable number of facts about the product. For example, ingredients, effect of various substances etc. The visitor can usually find these facts through other sources as well. For a more extensive factual base, we usually link to the manufacturer’s website where the visitor can find more specific product details – however the visitor should be aware that there might be differences of opinion between independent reviewers and the claims of a company as far as a product is concerned.

ñ  Integration of user feedback and popular opinion about the product which is reviewed, through various sources (testimonials, websites etc) in order to present a general idea of the efficiency, side-effects and other traits of the product.

ñ  Our own subjective opinion on the product, as it is formed by the reviewing author.

This structure ensures both our integrity and the fact that the visitor gets the most accurate review that we can give. It is our aim to provide accurate and detailed reviews of products which will help the visitor. We are also open to user-feedback in our effort to always improve the quality of our site and our reviews.

Ideally all review sites should adhere to the same standards. Also bear in mind that any review site which does not have a disclosure policy, may be violating the law.
